1) Account for asset going to 0 value. Whatever you sell it for is a
transfer out of the asset to whatever account where the money got deposited.
Any balance in the asset account after this is either a loss (positive asset
value after sale proceeds transfer) which needs to be expensed with some
kind of an expense category transaction or a gain (negative asset value)
which needs to be treated as some kind of an income category transaction.

2) Mark the account closed.
