Money Freezes on Archive

Mine is 67MB+ and dates back to 1993.

I think I have heard of a file at least double the size of yours! Deleting
old stock quotes may help get the size down if that concerns you. Mine is
also 15mb and dates back to 1995.

An archive file is a copy of the Money file as it existed at the
time of archive. Rename/copy that archive to Thorrrr.mny (or other
suitable name), and open that file.

What i need ti know if i have done it how can i reverse the process?

Many people are saying its a bad idea to Archive if so i would like to
reverse the archive if its possible.

Assuming Dick talked you out of archiving, that would be moot. If
despite his wise efforts you were going to plow thru, then I would
give it a few hours if necessary.

Are you sure their idea of a "few" is not just a whole lot more than your
idea of a "few"? I.e., your "hang" may be their "optimized performance".

Couple of points. a) that serial number is for Money 2005 and b) I wouldn't
really recommend archiving. As a matter of interest why are you trying to
archive?

Hi

When I try to archive in MS Money 2004 UK version 14.0.120.1105 the
programme hands and freezes up with the warning message. Looking at the file
it looks like it has done it quick but the message box just freezes up and I
have to Ctrl Alt Del to get rid!!!!

Any ideas if this is a general error?
