The price problem did not correct for me for yesterday, so now I have
to fix them manually one by one.

Problem was solved earlier today (Tuesday). Most, though not all, of
yesterday's prices corrected automatically too.

The problem still hasn't been fixed. I monitor a large number of Canadian
investments. This makes it very difficult. Also, it will be a lot of work
to manually fix this, because i think that the program only downloads the
current day's prices. How can I find out what MS is doing about this problem?

I am glad that was OK for you. I am confident the File-> Restore
would have worked too, as long as you had not entered a lot of data
since the previous backup was created.

Take note that Money 2006 makes more than one backup by default. To
see the available backups, look at *.mbf in the same folder as your
..mny file.

I would at least change the default to have more than the default
number of such backups. Here is my suggestion, even tho the default
backup scheme is a big improvement over previous versions:

In M06: Tools-> Settings-> BackupOptions
I suggest checking
x Automatically backup my Money file every time I close Money
Save in [a place on your hard drive ]
x Ask me before backing up each time*
x Compress Backup Files
Keep only the _20_most recent backup files [adjust to taste]

x Perform scheduled backups every _14_ days
Save in [a USB flash drive location]
x Ask me before backing up each time*
x Compress Backup Files
Keep only the _2_most recent backup files [could adjust,
but Money 2006 does not automatically trim to USB as it should.
you must manually delete the old ones to free up space]

Then periodically, perhaps once per month or more, copy your latest
backup (uniquely named by Money) to a CDR. With XP, this can be a
copy and paste operation. Otherwise use the burning software that
came with your CDR drive.

I strongly suggest use of a USB Flash rather than floppies. They
are bigger, so you don't have to swap media to back up. Plus
they are much more reliable (but not failure-proof).

* The reason I have Money ask me, is that I don't want to back up
each time I exit. If I went into Money 5 times in a day, I would not
want to back up 5 times, nor would I want to delete 5 other backup
files.
You will be given the choice to BackUpNow or to Postpone.

Thanks Cal.
That was very helpful.
The 'update online' didn't fix it, but the manual procedure allowed me to go
back to may 19th as well, and fix things.
Good thing I don't have a huge portfolio! <G

One or more of these should work for you:

1. If you download quotes now, don't they overwrite the bad numbers?

2. You can delete the bad quotes. In the Portfolio, select the stock
with the bad data. UpdatePrices-> UpdatePricesManually. Select the
bad price, and delete.

3. File-> Restore yesterday's backup.

This is the second time that this has happened.
1st time was may 19th.
I now have a spike in my history that makes all the other data a flat line.
There doesn't seem to be any way to fix this, and it makes the entire
program totally useless for my purposes.

If this problem is not corrected today, it will permnantly mess up
price history. Has anyone checked out a price chart?

There was a quote server problem earlier. The prices should be
corrected upon the next "trade". It is possible that if trade prices
are not reported inter-day for a security, the problem on a few
could linger.

I saw several anomalous high prices when I updated prices earlier.
The next time I updated prices, it was down to only 2. I assume that
somebody is taking steps to fix it.

Default Stock quote problem.

Money 2006 Canadian edition. This morning my Canadian stock and exchange
traded fund quotes are out by a factor of 1000. Mutual funds and American
stocks seem to be correct. Anyone know anything about this?
