How can I properly add my husband as a user? open Money and work on a different file. To run Money 2002, each user would have to be an XP administrator, and Money would need to be installed as each user. Once your husband can open a new file, then you can address how to let you both work on a common data file. |

| I'm not yet convinced this is a Money problem. Can your husband copy the file to differently named copy in that same folder? Can he open the Money Sample file? Can he create a new Money file in the same folder? If he does, can you open that file from your account? What happens if the file is in the Shared Documents folder, not the All Users folder? | I had Money 2002 as part of the purchase package on my computer. I didn't use it, so uninstalled to save disk space. Reinstalled when wanted to begin using. I have no trouble when logged on as myself, but can't get it to allow my husband to use it when he is logged onto Windows XP: "Money cannot locate 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Financial\My Money" or cannot open it, possibly because it is a read-only file or you do not have permission to change it or your disk drive is write protected. If you have chosen the correct file and it cannot be accessed, you will need to click OK and open your most recent backup file. If the file is being used by another application, close it in the other application and click OK to try again." The file location is correct.
