It depends. If that date and time are numbers and letters, setting
Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServices-> ReplacePayeeNames.... should help.
You would want to have a payee named "Cash WDL" first. Then
"Cash WDL 06/23/06" should match that "Cash WDL" payee.

Or perhaps that is not what you want. Suppose you want to ignore
Cash WDL in payee names. Then click on GoToPayeeRulesManager.
Excluded Payee Names identifies words and phrases that should be
ignored from the payee field (e.g., check, deposit). Add Cash WDL.

Oh, and make sure you are using Advanced Register.

You don't specify what version, but recent versions include a thing called
payee matching that claims to do just what you are asking for--for just this
reason.

I can't tell you exactly where to look, but searching help for Payee Rules
and see where it leads you. The reason I can't tell you where to look is
that I do not download transaction data. I avoid all kinds of problems like
this.

Default How to account for random payee suffix

Hi,
When i withdraw from ATM, the transaction appears in my statement as
the name of the "Cash WDL", followed by a string of date and time.
Hence the payee name, for Money changes everytime. Same happens in my
local departmental store. Can I teach Money to match a Payee name, say
by a few words in perticular from the full name?
