Try turning on SSL 2 and SSL 3 in your IE. That would be
Tools-> Options-> Advanced in IE6.

I too experienced/ am experiencing the below message only when syncing my
American Express accounts.

I was able to sync once this morning after turning off my Vista Firewall
(inbound & outbound) and de-selecting the other accounts I normally sync. I
then re-activated my other accounts and tried to sync again and the AmEx
account DID NOT succesfully sync.

One workaround (if you sync your data w/ MSN): Goto moneycentral.msn.com and
sync to your AmEx/ Schwab accounts through that interface. THEN, launch MS
Money and - assuming you're using your Passport to provide access control -
the app should sync w/ MSN and download your transactions into Money. Pain
in the a**, yes, but at least it works.

I would think that keeping Money running on your non-beta XP machine
would be safer. Run it on your Vista beta machine concurrently
perhaps. I infer you already came to that conclusion. Thanks for the
info on your experiments.

I had an existing WIndows XP system that I upgraded to Vista.

Can't get the Portfolio to display, get the blue dump screen and it reboots.

I take the exact same money file and put on my Windows XP system and the
portfolio displays fine.

Microsoft wants me to export all my financials and re-import them....I'd
stay on XP before I do that.

Did you folks UPGRADE to Vista from XP ?

I too, after upgrading to Vista Beta 2, can't display my portfolio.
Everything else works wonderfully. I click on Portfolio, the screen flashes
and then reboots. Any solutions to this?

I also tried it without success; So it could also be something within vista
instead of just ie7.

Neat tool! I tried it, but no luck. I also use IE 7beta on XP and have no
problems. Maybe I'll just use a XP installation inside VirtualPC on Vista.

Could this be an IE7 vs. IE6 issue? I know that several financial
institutions do not recognize IE7, and Money just overlays whatever version
of IE you are using. In this case, the Fiddler tool may work:
http://fiddlertool.com/useragent.aspx You click on the script to make your
browser appear to be IE6, then when you're done, click the script to undo
those changes.

I don't think I've noticed that problem. I checked my firewall settings and
nothing is blocking my online updates.

Oh well, I guess that's why its called beta. :-)

Don't know an answer to your question, but I don't think money 06 works fine
on Vista Beta 2. When I want to open my portfolio, it crashes. This problem
never occured before under Xpsp2. There should be a solution by closing all
investment accounts and then reopening them one by one, or creating a new
file and go to the portfolio to have it opened the same way in the "corrupt"
file, but nothing works when using Vista Beta 2.

Anyone on this then?

Thanks,

Eric

The 12029 error is normally related to the program being unable to connect
to the remote site, so could be firewall related - worth checking whether
Money is allowed to get through it.

Default Money 2006 on Vista Beta 2

Hi All,

I know this isn't the Vista support group, but perhaps some of you have run
into this. Money works great on Vista beta 2, except for this error when I
update my accounts (Amex and Schwab, to be exact):

An Internet Communication error occured... OFXIE12029.

This works great on XP (with IE beta 2 also). Any ideas?

I am not running Windows Firewall.
