| They are progressively killing quotes. The third party downloads in M02 and below probably can't be killed by Microsoft but surely depend on the third party feeling the interface is worth supporting. I wouldn't put it past Microsoft to try and persuade them otherwise. | Perhaps http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=180 will help. As to M02 living forever, I wouldn't bet on it. | There is a solution but I don't remember what it is. Something about needing a newer version of Money to convert your 2002 file first. Then 2006 will recognize it. I think there is a file you can download for this purpose. Search the FAQ or this list as the answer has been given many times. You should save your 2002 disc, you will probably be able to sell it. I still use 2002 because it does not expire and I can download my transactions forever. Ver 2006 automatically expires and downloads are blocked forcing you to upgrade even if you don't want to and even if the then new version is worse than the old one. You might even want to switch back to 2002 so save copies of your 2002 data file at least for a while. -- Regards, Bill Wood Fountain Hills, AZ "steven" <steven[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B4BA348F-1A4C-4D4A-BA47-7B3520C843BD[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Hi, > my (backup and money 2002 editio) files won;t open in my newly installed > 2006 edition (deluxe).
