| Andrew, Do you have M2006 and a high-speed connection ? I went thru this here this a few weeks ago, although on my PC the msmoney process died after about one minute. I right-clicked disabled my network connection. msmoney.exe died shortly thereafter. Then open Money ( WITH NO network). You can then open/close OK. My guess - when you start it Microsoft Money ( spyware ? MSN money ? ) wants to say hello/goodbye to SOME friggin' website behind the scenes. Even if you don't have an MSN account ( like me). If no network at Money startup, it fails /fizzles and closes msmoney as you exist - no "saying goodbye" to their server. | Thanks Kevin. Yeah, I know this, it's part of the FAQ too but it doesn't help because the process remains active indefinitely. | Andrew I noticed through the use of a program called Active Ports that Money.exe will remain running long after the program is closed as long as there are still ports open that are associated with Money.exe. If you try to re-open Money before all of the open ports are closed you will receive a message that Money is already running. Hope this helps. -Kevin "Andrew" <justme[at]nowhere.com> wrote in message news:1150054924_39935[at]sp6iad.superfeed.net... - quote - > So, I checked out the FAQ's but I still have the Money.exe process issue > where I have to Kill it to restart Money. > Any other updates to fixing it? > ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet > News==---- > http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ > Newsgroups > ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption > =---- |
