| BoA is a huge commercial bank who does not really want small retail customers. Get wise. I am not a MS lover, but neither am I a lover of any particular bank. If MS wanted to get tough with BoA let them pull all of their accounts out and go elsewhere ... which they may have done for all we know. arthur == On Mon, 12 Jun 2006 07:07:02 -0700, oceans777 <oceans777[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: - quote - > This isn't a helpful post but I would like to express that I'm very > disappointed about the way Microsoft Money and Bank of America have decided > to lock this feature out with a charge. | This isn't a helpful post but I would like to express that I'm very disappointed about the way Microsoft Money and Bank of America have decided to lock this feature out with a charge. Paying almost $10.00 a month for online bill payment which can be accomplished completely free from the Bank of America website is very insulting. Bank of America is a huge company and many Microsoft Money users utilize their services....however, I am inconvenienced by this manual download process whereas my other credit card and banking accounts are effortless. Microsoft, hear these people and please correct this flaw. |

| The alternative is WHAT? Screw them. Use NetBank I'm using them for many years, and since I do not live in GA, my money is not stealable by lawyers in my State. arthur == On 10 Jun 2006 20:31:19 -0700, johnbusc[at]hotmail.com wrote: - quote - > Joe, > charges $9.95/month for "Online Banking through Microsoft Money" but > waives the fee for certain account types. | Joe, Yodlee accesses your CA account via your login to BoA's website. This is the only way Money 2006 is setup to access BoA accounts in CA. The only way Money 2006 is capable of accessing your MA account is via direct download from BoA's servers and only if you first enroll in BoA's "Online Banking through Microsoft Money". "Online Banking through Microsoft Money" permits one to directly download account activity and pay bills, if you choose to, from within Money. BoA charges $9.95/month for "Online Banking through Microsoft Money" but waives the fee for certain account types. If not waived, the fee applies whether you pay bills through BoA or not. The alternative for your MA account is to logon to your account at the BoA website and download account activity into Money. | Joe, - quote - > From what I know about BofA (CA account aside), you have to have an
statements (and/or pay your bills). You should still be able to addAdvantage account or pay the monthly fee in order to download your the MA account into Money, just try not t specifying the bank at first. I've done that in the past when I've had troubles with other banks not downloading. I'd also try going into the BofA website and downloading the file for the MA account. Money will probably start asking if this is a new account, etc. etc. As to why the CA account lets you download, it's probably because CA seems to be a somewhat different entity. I think because some of the banking rules are different in CA (and a few other states) compared to the majority. I could be wrong about that but that's what I thought I'd read. Hope that helps, Cara |

| I am using Money 2006 and trying to add Bank of America accounts. I have a Bank of America accounts in both California and in Massachusetts (which are separate divisions). The CA account was added with no problem... updates work just fine. The MA account however will not add... and Money redirects me to a Bank of America website to enroll, but it costs 9.95/month! I don't want to be able to pay bills through Money, I just want to be able to download my statements. My understanding is the CA account access is down through Yodlee... but I don't know what's going on with the MA account... I thought I could link to my account to get statements for free, and that I only hjad to pay if I wanted to be able to pay bills directly through Money. In any case, I cannot even add the MA Bank of America account at all... I appreciate any help. Peace, Joe |
