| The people who know for sure won't tell you. I suspect a) they don't think there is a big intersection of Money users and Excel users, b) they are concerned that the data normalization/mapping required would be beyond many users and/or would generate support costs, and c) no matter the above, they surely don't see a business case in added sales/revenue from people who need/want this feature offsetting the support and development costs. Remember, these are the guys who added Essential * and then added the Essentials (MEss for short) edition. They think that's where Money users want to go today. | Understood. I'll try the xl2qif approach. Like myself, lot's of folks have old data that was kept in flat batabase format which can be easily edited as a text file and with a few simple macros, insert delimiters for importation into excel. That's where we are now. I have a good SS and all thedata is neatly organaized per column, I just would really like to get that into my money data file for easy tracking/comparisons. Thanks for the quick response. Cheers! When you File-> Import QIF files as recovered accounts and select multiple files using Ctrl+<select> to import all at once, then transfers should be recognized. |

Thanks for links, but non of them address the problem of multiple accounts, creating several *.qif files is fine by itself, but when importing back all transfer transaction will come back twice. Any pointers on this issue? Thanks, Igor |

Is there a robust way to import data back from CSV or excel file that has transactions for several (i.e. many) accounts? I see MoneyLink lists something similar. Has anybody had good experience with it when importing/exporting multiple accounts? Thanks, Igor |
