| Found the solution (at least for me): I had changed the programfilesdir value in HKLM/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion After changing it back to "C:\program files" it works again. I've had one issue with this before. It's kind of annoying, but I guess I shouldn't fiddle with the registry! | I found the solution to this problem. I reimaged the computer with a fresh copy of XP and installed Money from scratch. Not surprisingly, everything is working great. I've used every version of Money since 1995 and I've never had such problems as with 2006. I think the root cause of the flakiness of Money is it's ever-increasing dependence on IE as its foundation. Makes me yearn for the days of monolithic executables. Ah, well. Such is progress I suppose. | What other applications did you install under this new Profile, prior to reinstalling Money? It is possible that one of those applications is interfering with Money's install. -Mark "robert.larson.at.gmail" <robert.larson[at]gmail.com> wrote in message news:1150945805.351825.153240[at]u72g2000cwu.googlegroups.com... - quote - > I'm having this issue as well. | I'm having this issue as well. I was having problems getting Portfolio Manager to work. Contacte PSS and they had me create a new user profile and see if it works there. It did. So I started the process of reinstalling applications in this new Profile. I did a full uninstall of Money, deleted all the files, and now when I install on the new profile it won't go on. I've followed the steps in in the uninstall/reinstall article but no joy. What causes this to happen? I'm running IE 6.02. setup was unable to install wrote: - quote - > IE 6.02 here > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, Troy wrote: > > > > I did have IE7 Beta 2 installed for a bit, but i took it off. The earlier IE7 beta had a problem working with Money. That problem> doing that i am unable to install microsoft money. may or may not be fixed. It could be that by installing the newer IE7 beta, the problem could go away. If that did not fix it, I would consider the process described here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/895866/en-us - quote - > Thanks > "Troy" wrote: > > Has anyone seen this message before.
