Can you isolate the problem to a single account? If so, consider exporting> on > the old money file but still couldn't disable online services. Do that on a copy, of course. That's a simplification of what's necessary for the reimport. If it works in principle, you'll have to match imported transfers back to the original transaction in the destination account, etc. But it's better than starting over completely. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| Yes i can disable with the new file, I also tried running a full repair on the old money file but still couldn't disable online services. I suspect my old money file is corrupt - many years of data that i can't use anymore! i've either got to start a new money file or import transactions manually! | My bank, First Tech Credit Union, recently upgraded their online banking services. This upgrade also included a change to the user name and password used for online banking in Money 2006. Their upgrade instructions (http://www.firsttechcu.com/help/help_guide_money.html) say to disable online services for your Money file as the third step to upgrading to the new services. The problem is that when I click on Stop Using Online Services in Money nothing happens. I click on OK and Money hangs for a bit then comes back with no change, clicking on OK again has the same effect, clicking on Cancel is the only action that does anything (just goes back to my account settings). I've tried contacting First Tech Credit Union tech support but they never answer the phone and when I do get a person they don't understand the problem. It's been about a month since I've been able to update my money file and this is a big problem, any help would be appreciated. If you can CC my hotmail email it would be appreciated since I do not regularly monitor these newsgroups. Additional info: starting a new Money file works and syncs with my bank - but i only get 1 month worth of transactions so I loose all my history and my categories. Trying to sync with my old file without disabling and reenabling online services returns an error about Invalid Member ID. Changing my online credentials using Money under account settings doesn't help. I'm not sure what else I can do at this point. |
