Nit: Outlook does email as well as calendar, contacts, and notes. OutlookExpress does email and newsgroups. Is there some link between Outlook (not Express) and newsgroups of which I'm unaware? You can run Outlook Express in newsreader-only mode by starting it using '/news' as a command-line parameter. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| Yes, Outlook is both an email ( SMTP / POP ) client and NNTP client. Netscape can be used. Mozilla Thunderbird also. Someone told you how to configure Outlook I presume. There are 1000's of NNTP groups or if you prefer forums. It means Net News Transport Protocol. Careful as some of it (NNTP) is not childproof (eg porn).
