| That is the standard support reply similar to the classic 'take 2 aspirin and (do not) call in the A.M.' If the jerk had any smarts you would be told how to download the update file and inspect it since it is human readable. They are not paid to fix problems only to blow them away as fast as possible. Called Level 1 in the business. arthur == On Sat, 13 May 2006 14:49:01 -0700, magaboogogo <magaboogogo[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: - quote - > All my UK stock and fund prices have been returned as 1/100 of their correct > value since 10/05/06 by the "Update online" function of Money 2004. | All my UK stock and fund prices have been returned as 1/100 of their correct value since 10/05/06 by the "Update online" function of Money 2004. When I used one of my 2 free calls to Microsoft, the help desk technician assured me there is no reported problem with the MSN Money server, and therefore that the problem is with my data file or Money installation. His only suggestions were to repair the file and re-install the software, neither of which, as expected, worked. | I don't think certain symbols are causing this problem. In fact, when the problem started for me I also had HD (Home Depot) and A (AT&T) with many other listed (Dow, NASDAQ) stocks. What are some symbols.> overnight only. Nothing changes during the day. I am very surprised that somebody would have this kind of symptom with HD and T. However that would be normal if your symbols are five characters ending in X or F or Y. - quote - > Frank > "Submarine LDO" <SubmarineLDO[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:3738DF6C-780E-4A38-88AB-75554909E96A[at]microsoft.com... > > Some of my stocks in my portfolio do not update prices throughout the day. > > Some do, but most do not, including HD, T, ... ones that I know have the > > correct symbol inputted. > > > For instance, at 7PM, when I look at my portfolio, most of the stocks list > > the days gain as unch, and still list yesterday's closing price (which > > didn't > > update until sometime late the night before). | Microsoft are clearly having all sorts of updating problems at present - go to UK Edition community group and you'll see a long correspondence about the breakdown of its funds updating service. Your problem may be part of the same thing. | I've had the same problem since last October except that it is 100% overnight only. Nothing changes during the day. | Some of my stocks in my portfolio do not update prices throughout the day. Some do, but most do not, including HD, T, ... ones that I know have the correct symbol inputted. For instance, at 7PM, when I look at my portfolio, most of the stocks list the days gain as unch, and still list yesterday's closing price (which didn't update until sometime late the night before). For those stocks, I never have a day's gain listed, because when the price finally updates, it's a new day!! Strange but true...any suggestions? |
