It would problably alot easier, with less duplicates, to restore your
archived file and export/import your new transactions into the old file. An
archive file is a complete copy of your Money File at the time you archived.

Sorry to hear that.

I assume that method involves QIF export and import. A trick to
minimizing the duplication would be to edit the QIF files with a
text editor to remove dates that are known to be duplicative. Even
so, you will need to give some attention to working things out.

Make an extra copy of your Money 2006 file in case you want to undo
something.

You could use Money 2006 to produce your QIF files from the "archive
files". File-> Open the archive, and Money 2006 will convert to a
Money 2006 file. Then File-> Export the QIF files. Do any editing.
Open the current file, and File-> Import the modified QIF files. Edit
as needed. Adjust initial balances, etc.

Good luck.

Default Archive Question

Hi, archived my transactions in Money 2004, I had tried to restore them
using the method in the help file, but had so many duplicates I gave up. I
have since up graded to 2006. I was wondering if its possible to restore
these archived transactions into 2006 or if I'll have to reinstall 2004 and
do it there? Also would like to know if you can restore the archive all at
once or if you have to do it account by account. And lastly is there
something I can do so I don't get all the duplicates? Both Canadian
versions.

Thank You.

Joel
