| I e-mailed Scottrade and received this response: "Dear Client, Thank you for your e-mail. Scottrade will only download 'Trade History' into Microsoft Money. Dividends, Interest, Etc. will have to be manually entered. Sincerely, Jesse P." So even though I see "Interest" entries in the QIF file I download from Scottrade apparently Money doesn't read them in. How odd. We'll have to deal for now. | Shouldn't it be an OFX file? I don't think QIF has enough record types defined for full broker transactions support. Perhaps this is a M05 problem? I am using M06 so can not really know what functions M05 is supposed to support. arthur == On Sat, 6 May 2006 16:56:01 -0700, Taylor Clark <TaylorClark[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: - quote - > I'm having the same problem. | It seems to me if the info is in the downloaded file, it should get read in by Money. Does anyone know if the 2006 version took care of this? | I'm having the same problem. If you go to your "account history" in Scottrade, download the "Trade History Records", and open the QIF file in a text editor you can see that the interest payments are in there it's just that Money doesn't add them to your account's cash transactions for some reason. Deposits and withdrawls are not, though, so I guess we need to go to Scottrade to tell them to add that to their reports? | Scottrade has a lot of programming problems. Each time my Scottrade account is updated, it puts a large 6 figure number in the beginning balance field. They're not the brightest bulb on the block. <banjolicious[at]netscape.net> wrote in message news:1146826921.817601.262520[at]i39g2000cwa.googlegroups.com... - quote - > Using Money 2005 Premium and Scottrade > My stock transactions show up using downloaded statements, but > dividends and interest earned are not showing up in the cash account. > What have I misconfigured? |

| Are they listed as downloaded transactions? IOW is Scott actually downloading them? Stock dividends should be in both the Transaction and Cash views. Interest and MM dividends should only be in the Cash view ie not paid on non cash assets. arthur == On 5 May 2006 04:02:01 -0700, banjolicious[at]netscape.net wrote: - quote - > Using Money 2005 Premium and Scottrade > My stock transactions show up using downloaded statements, but > dividends and interest earned are not showing up in the cash account. > What have I misconfigured? |
