 RE: Rebate item in an invoice in Small Bus '06 I made a cash account named "Rebates" and tried making a "Spending" entry that was reimbursable .. no go.. It just ADDED to the invoice I tried TRANSFERING the rebate to Accounts Receivable in the customer's name, but I couldn't find it to post ON the INVOICE ... perhaps I could resokve it on a statement... will try |

| Rebate item in an invoice in Small Bus '06 I want to offer a fixed price rebate in an estimate/invoice as a final line item, not a line-by-line discount per item. (I am a remodeling contractor.. I want to put a $ 500 rebate for 1st time bath customers, for example) I have an expense category that maps to a Sch C. Refund category that I used in Quicken, but I can't create a new expense category for invoices ... only INCOME items are shown.. Should I create a "rebate" category in income that is a business category linked to rebates? |
