| I guess I owe you your money back on the previous answer. I should have tested it further at the time. Indeed, I can't see a way to tell it that the Credit Charge card is really a Credit Credit card. Worse, I can't see a way to change these parts of the credit details. Add this to my list of really annoying write-only-memory bits of data that Money collects and takes into the dark hole but never easily exposes again. Anybody else see a way to change this? (I looked in DRP but didn't find one.) Money could stand a serious reverse engineering and object-oriented analysis. There are way too many instances of data being collected and pigeon holed for other features or for features not in a given version or just to subclass stuff like this that are never exposed by the underlying object again. You might open a case directly with Microsoft--but prepare to be told you can't get there from here. Alternately, there is the create new account/move transactions approach I mentioned earlier today. | Yes, you cannot change type to Charge Card since there is no such underlying type. I will revisit the ability to change credit details for an account originally setup as Charge Card when I get back to a machine that runs M04, but I think this should be workable. I'm not sure what you mean by "[you are] still [] unable to change things like interest, minimum payment, etc. because the account as though [you] have to pay off the account in full each month." All that aside, when all else fails, create a new account the way you want it, move the transactions, and delete the old account. | When I go to account details and then click on change type there isn't even an option for charge card. The radio button is on credit. Though, when I go down to credit information and click change credit details (after canceling online setup) i still am unable to change things like interest, minimum payment, etc. because the account as though I have to pay off the account in full each monnth. | Topic say M04. If you have it setup for downloads, I think the type can't be changed. | Not related to the OP problem but my Discover card is setup as a Type Credit Card and grayed out ... i can not change the Type. This is M06. I would say delete the Charge Account and try setting it up properly as Type Credit Card. Also, we do not know the version if that makes any difference to the problem. arthur == On Sun, 30 Apr 2006 13:09:36 -0600, "Dick Watson" <littlegreengecko[at]mind-enufalready-spring.com> wrote: - quote - > Since there is only one underlying type--Credit Card--what is it that you > want to change? | Since there is only one underlying type--Credit Card--what is it that you want to change? I just created one of each a "Credit card" and a "Charge card". The only differences I can see are all exposed under the Account Details Change Credit Details button. You said "no matter how [you] try [you] can't". Did you try there? | For some reason my Discover card is listed as a charge account (pay off completely each month) and isn't suppose to be. No matter how I try I can't seem to change this so I can list interest information and minimum amount, etc. |
