| JimB, I gave up on trying to change my password. I too don't have enough spaces in my password for it to be correct and I can't change it. However a very strange thing is happening, sometime I can retrieve my bank info and others I can't. I wonder if the banks computer adds to your password so that you can get the info on your account. I hit "Update" and it does so! | Not same bank. Further to the defining the problem, when I go into the change account settings option for my institution and look at the username + password, I find that the password length is not the same as my new password. Appears (lengthwise) same as old password. I have contacted MS customer service, who had me completely de-install and then re-install Money 2006. This includes normal add /delete program, manually removing all Money folders, and going into the registry to remove all money references. Where could the system be picking up my old password, or be changing it? Thanks Jim "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Buck wrote: > > Cal, I don't think that we have the same bank. | I just posted on 4/30. Have spent the better part of a day working on this off and on with Microsoft. They have escalated to a higher level. If I get the answer I will post. | My bank changed password schemes which required me to change my password at that institution. When I attempt to change the password in Money 2006, it will not accept the change, always reverting to the original password. I have previewed as many existing discussion threads and cannot find solution. Any help is greatly appreciated. |
