Default Re: No Setting for Saving Payments as Drafts

Very few people here have ever tried to use the program in Essential mode,
so we would never have encountered that sort of problem.

I have noticed several of these types of questions recently. Could it be
becoming a FAQ?

Something like:

MS Money told me to go to an area and click on a button, but when I go
there, there is no button/button is unavailable/button doesn't do what I
want.

Check that you are in Advanced Mode instead of Essential Mode. Many commands
cannot be accessed in Essential Mode, although Money doesn't do a very good
job of explaining this to the user.

The question was that I couldn't find no setting to save payments
as drafts as apposed to sending submitting them immediatly when
Money told me there was such a setting.
Get it???

I needed to switch to Advanced Bills in the Bill Settings.
It was set to Essential Bills. After switching to Advanced the
Save Payment as drafts showed up.

From a online-enabled registry.
I needed to switch to Advanced Bills in the Bill Settings.
It was set to Essential Bills. After switching to Advanced the
Save Payment as drafts showed up.

Thanks

When creating an epay in the register, does the button not say "Save
Draft"? Were you creating the payment from the online-enabled register? Or
from a different path?

I'm not sure what your question is. Indeed, your message poses no question.

What you want to do can only be done by scheduling a bill. If you enter it
in the register, it's gone.

Default No Setting for Saving Payments as Drafts

Was going to send a credit card pmt (epay). Money told me if I
click submit it will be sent immediately. If I don't want to send it
immediately and save it in drafts go to Settings> Bill Settings and
select Save Payment as Draft (or something to that effect).
I see no setting there for this.
I'm using Money 2006.

Thanks,
James
