| Open the splits in a recently entered Loan Payment transaction in the account register making the payment. What do you see? | Hi Dick, I know about the split amounts but when I set up my homeloan it never gave me the option to set it up like that. It did ask me for principal, interest & escrow but it lumped them all together to get my monthly payment & then deducts out PI from the loan amount each payment!!?? Thanks, Jack -- victory082 "Dick Watson" wrote: - quote - > Money can Split transactions into multiple parts. | Money can Split transactions into multiple parts. (E.g., a $1,000 Loan Payment split into a $200 Principal Transfer to the Loan Account and an $800 Interest Expense:Mortgage Interest. Or maybe $55 at the grocery store Split into $44.00 for Food:Groceries, $8.00 for Miscellaneous:Supplies, and $3.00 for Miscellaneous:Postage.) You can find out more about Split transactions in the Help. You can also find out more about Loan Accounts there. You might also want to open the Sample data file where there are examples of all of this. | You might also see the thread associated with message ID E23F807E-5014-41DA-8F60-9A23517E88F6[at]microsoft.com using an advanced search at http://groups.google.com. That was a similar case that never really got resolved. Look at the splits of one Loan Payment in the register making the payment. What categories are included? What amounts? | Hi, $2004 premium. used the wizard & inputed all my own figures. Other loans I set up work fine. Did everything the way the wizard wanted it & all the figures checked out. | You've gotta throw us a bone or two. Version of Money? Manually entered transaction data or downloaded? If downloaded, direct or third party download? Advanced Register or Essential? Categories assigned in loan payment? Other Loan Accounts work? Loan setup using wizard? Throw us those and well chew on 'em and see if we are still hungry.... | Each time I set up my home loan in $ ( I've done it 3 different times! ) $ deducts BOTH the principle & interest amount when I make my monthly payment when it should only be deducting the principle amount of my monthly payment, from the loan amount. Anyone know how to correct this? It really makes a mess of the actual amount left owed on the loan!! -- victory082 |
