| Hi, How did you contact support? For some reason, the system does not recognize my serial numbers. Thanks. "wubears71" wrote: - quote - > Just wanted to update everyone on the status of my issue. | Just wanted to update everyone on the status of my issue. I received a message from microst stating that they recently received a number service requests concerning the exact same problem I'm having, both with 2005 and 2006. They still don't know the root cause. Here was their response: "I would like to explain that we have encountered a very unexpected situation that could be related to some issues on the server side. Recently, we at Microsoft Online Support Service received several service requests regarding the persisting Trial version of Money. Some issues were resolved by signing in to the .NET Passport and others persist even Money 2005/2006 verifies the .NET Passport successfully. We are still monitoring the issues and try to find the root cause. Please be assured that the online download services for Microsoft Money 2005 have not been suspended." In order to correct my issue, they are sending me the full blown version on CD, which will give me access to the deluxe version. Good Luck. |

| Basically uninstall, delete program folder, use windows installer cleanup utility to remove registry keys. Reinstall, and use a test file. But after update the version is again a trial version. I found a few KB articles that suggest it may be a problem with my billing account, but the product was purchased and Microsoft's billing records confirm this. I bought the standard version online, but the trial screen prompts me to purchase the deluxe version. | I tried all the suggestions by Microsoft, still when I update the software it defaults to a trial version. Version number before update: 15.0.6.513 And after update: 15.0.10.513 "wubears71" <wubears71[at]yahoo.com> wrote in message news:1145710093.362759.261070[at]v46g2000cwv.googlegroups.com... - quote - > I've been working with Microsft on this issue with no real progress. > Here's the situation: > 1. | The CD or the web version are both from Microsoft, and both purchased with real money. The point is: the product was paid for and needs to be a "working" version and not a TRIAL version. Tools-> Options-> Security-> LocalIntranet-> DefaultLevel which may be sufficient. Open Money by double-clicking sample.mny using Windows Explorer in the install folder for Money 2005. If that does not let you updated, and if you are using XP, I would try creating a new user with Administrator privilege. Switch to that user and start Money with a new blank file. Let Money download the updates as that user. The theory is that if the problem is an IE6 setting, you will get default settings for the new user. If you succeed this way, it would accomplish the download, and it would point toward the reason the other did not work. You can delete the new user later, and your regular IE6 settings will not have been changed. |

| Among other things, that doesn't happen when you install the CD version. "Money 2006" <Money 2006[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A050E024-AAAA-4CEE-814D-E4B0E0F047F5[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > MICROSOFT cannopt find a PID number on my version of > Money because, it's now a trial version. |

| The same thing happens to me with Money 2006. I can redownload the setup file, uninstall and reinstall the product, but once I update it, it becomes a TRIAL version. I believe the problem would be the same is we "BOUGHT THE CD" because the problem happens with the updates. I hope there is a fix for this some because I cannot you the online support email option, because MICROSOFT cannopt find a PID number on my version of Money because, it's now a trial version. | I've been working with Microsft on this issue with no real progress. Here's the situation: 1. I purchased Money 2005 Deluxe in January 2005 via Microsoft as an electronic download. 2. My Passport still indicates Microsoft Money 2005 Deluxe (one-time charge of $59.95 plus tax) as Enabled. 3. I purchased a new PC and re-loaded Money 2005 Deluxe via the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/money/speci..._ThankYou.mspx 4. After installing and signing into Money using my passport, the additional files downloaded. 5. After download, I rebooted my machine, relaunched Money 2005 and it comes up as a trial version. 6. I try and sign into my passport and I get the following message "To run this trial version of Microsft Money, the system date in your computer must be 2004 or 2005". 7. Money then closes. 8. I've tried moving my clock's date back to 2005, which prevents me from signing into my passport, but I can access my files off line. 9. Microsoft had me remove Money 2005, clean up the registry and re-install it, and then create a new money file called Temp to try and correct the problem, which did not work. 10. I also tried the following fix found on Google groups - http://groups.google.com/group/micro...1342779665e09d I am at a loss. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. |
