I set up a bill for my paycheck every two weeks with all the details like 401k, taxes, insurance, etc. Anyway, by matching your deposit to the bill, it should keep the desired payee name listed in your bill. this thought "name variation" but it is painful to setup since has toYes, that would be one way to put it. I think msmoney even supports be done for every variation. Would be nice if from Advanced Find Dialog one could select several transactions and assign all name variations from them to one payee name (just like category assignment from Advance Find Dialog). .... but I guess that would be more suitable for Vadims thread. You have the option of making it the same payee or a different> "erase the numbers at the end". You want to have the same payee but with a different name? - quote - > Maybe have something like "Transaction Display Name" field.

This does not seem like a nice option. Money will "erase the numbers at the end". The desired behavior is to not use the numbers at the end for matching purposes but still maintain it. Maybe have something like "Transaction Display Name" field. This may work better after you have combined payees from previous downloads.

Hello all. Every 2 weeks my incoming paycheck is automatically debited to my account. The Payee is always listed differently, as each transaction has a ";ID=234" or some number at the end. Is there a way to make Money always recognize this as the same payee? I just started Money today (been at it for a few hours now and I believe that I need the payee to be the same inorder for Money to flag them all the same. Thanks!
