| I think I figured out the problem. The "Update Now" button breaks the transaction updates. Somehow it causes the RQ file to skip the transaction updates. This function should not be used. Instead, use the background daily update process and allow MS Money to retrieve the updates on its own. It's been working for several days now and so far so good. I have reported this to MS support. Hopefully they'll fix it. "molim" wrote: - quote - > I am unable to download new transactions from my investment broker in Money > 2006 Premium. | In the RQ file, there is: <INCTRAN<DTSTART> 20060410 <INCLUDE> Y </INCTRAN So perhaps this is why there are no transactions. Nothing has posted yet for today. How can I reset this date? Also, as for the RS file from the initial download, it says: <INVTRANLIST<DTSTART> 20060311 <DTEND> 20060407235959.000 This appears to be correct. Is this a valid date format? I noticed they use a different date format from my citibank statement: <DTSTART> 20060406120000 <DTEND> 20060406120000 "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, jim wrote: > > I'm seeing the exact same problem with A.G. In a case like this, here is a diagnosis technique that might tell> If I drop online services for that brokerage, and add it back, it > correctly pulls down initial activity (your choice, 7 days minimum). > But no activity at all during normal dowloads. what is happening. Open Money and enable the logging of the OFX files. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911941/en-us Look at the last *RS.txt file for the <DTEND> tag. Following that will be some numbers, which is a date and maybe a time. If that date is a time in the future, then Money will think that it has data thru that time and will not re-request until you discontinue direct services at that institution and then re-enable. The date on the tag is in <DTEND> yyyyMMdd and perhaps with some more numbers which are hhmmss hour minutes seconds. So if it does not start with 2006 on a fresh access, there is a problem. This happened sometimes with AMEX a while back, and perhaps it happened to your AG Edwards files. Perhaps it is something else. : - quote - > On Sun, 9 Apr 2006 11:23:02 -0700, molim > <molim[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > No, Smith Barney - Investments. > > > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > > > In microsoft.public.money, molim wrote: > > > > > > I am unable to download new transactions from my investment broker in Money > > > > 2006 Premium. | I'm seeing the exact same problem with A.G. Edwards and Sons. If I drop online services for that brokerage, and add it back, it correctly pulls down initial activity (your choice, 7 days minimum). But no activity at all during normal dowloads. | I am unable to download new transactions from my investment broker in Money 2006 Premium. It downloads all my positions, and they appear in the ofx file, but there are no transactions, even though recent transactions are listed on the broker site. The initial download (to create the account) is fine, and includes both transactions and positions. But after I import transactions from another Money account, and then download again, only the positions appear in the ofx file, no transactions. So my question is, how does my financial institution know which transactions to send? Can I set that manually in some way? I have already asked MS support for help and from my broker, but so far no luck. They have just sent me in circles, asked me to import, export, repair, etc. etc. and so far nothing has worked. If anyone has an understanding of how money determines which transactions to receive, please let me know. I think it might be the key to getting this working. |
