I think 'bank balance' comes from the FI?
Mine are also wrong. Meanless. Not really a bank?
It is the field seen after the update runs ... display updates.
My Mny Cash balance does agree with my broker cash balance.

I have the same problem but in my case I have some cash and some stocks on
my account. The total value is a little less than $1000 but in cash
transactions view it shows "Bank balance" which is approx. three times the
amount. How to fix it?

I just discovered that I have TWO accounts like that. The second one shows a
total value three times the actual value!

Like I said, I tried that. It didn't help.

I used both Quick and Standard.

This $Y,000 is reported in black with a white background within the
portfolio view, right. Did you GroupBy:AccountName?

Try File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair

Default Portfolio bug

I have a brokerage account with $X,000 in cash, and nothing else. Money's
Portfolio Manager shows $x,000 cash and "Total Account Value" as $Y,000,
where Y is almost twice X. I wish! Unfortunately it's not so.

The only transactions in this account are a purchase and subsequent sale,
both more than a year old.

The Account Summary says, "This account currently has no investments in
it.", as expected.

Why does Money report extra $ that doesn't exist? How can I fix it? File
repair doesn't help.

This is Money 2006 Premium.
