Default Re: Yodlee style accounts and M2006

Me too, but after so many years with the options, thought I would give it a
try. As it turns out, it is completely working by design, so I undid this.
Having to accept old transactions repeatedly per day to keep my financial
picture accurate was just ludicrous.

Thx.

I have only 2, non-checking, Money handicaped accounts, that do not
need to be updated often ... 1/month is fine. eg savings account and
MM account.

I am too much the computer geek to trust others with zero fiducial
duty to care for my data.

Default Re: Yodlee style accounts and M2006

Found a similar-but-different issue. I got a transation that had not been keyed in. I did the usual change edit to change the payee and the category, and then accepted it. The next time it connected to MoneyCentral, it silently reverted the payee and category, and to make it worse it didn't even flag as a change to be accepted.

Is this just a bad time for yodlee right now, or is this how it works? These seem very basic things to be doing, and I'm surprised they would have shipped a product so mangled.

Thanks.

After years of turning off the Yodlee-style updates, I decided to embrace this because I have enough bank accounts now that don't have direct banking.

This is using M2006.

First, I found most of the issues can be resolved if you go to the My Money part of the MoneyCentral web site. There you can set favorites and rename accounts. If you try to do it in Money, it just reverts after the next time it connects to MoneyCentral. And I found the "merge duplicate accounts" was also very useless; it reverted the very next time you connected to MoneyCentral. So doing the (EXTREMELY) painful way of migrating transaction by transaction from my old account to the Yodlee-provided one made it work.

I see that the MSN Bill Pay isn't flagging as being connected, but a message to the helpdesk indicates "MSN 2007" will fix this, which may actually be Money 2007, which would be sad if we had to wait until August to have this working again.

The one thing I'm stumped on is with the downloaded transactions. When I accept them, the very next time it connects to MoneyCentral, it marks them as needing to be accepted again. This wouldn't be so frustrating except that, for one account, it keeps getting the links wrong, so it is hugely misreporting the balance on a checking account.

I've tried doing a reconcile, tried various Updating strategies, even tried a quick repair, and it still keeps updating.

Any ideas on how to stop this? I think I can live with it if the transactions would just stay accepted, and at this point, I wasted over 8 hours moving my accounts to the new accounts, so I don't want to go back.

Thanks!
