| This sounds similar to my problem. My registry entries for mny, ofx, and mbf were only accessible by account that I used for install. Take a look at permissions on HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. The file type entries did not inherit from parent HKCR. WARNING: Do not attempt to change this unless you are familiar with Windows Registry. | I am not a eXtra Pain user ( running 2K ) but it sounds like mny might be confused by 2005 residual registry stuff. Did you uninstall mny 05 before installing 06? There should be no need to run Mny06 from an administrator id ... only the install naturally. Try the pconpoint site. They sell a Windows repair program that worked for a friend who had a really tough laptop bios screwup that was caused by software. They have a free site trial / test version that will fix some problems that you can run from their site. It might help. I can not recommend buying their whole program but the free test has been known to repair some bugs and registry problems. Do a complete uninstall of all Money versions before running pconpoint trial. arthur == On Fri, 7 Apr 2006 09:31:59 -0700, "TimG" <timgross1962[at]hotmail.comwrote: - quote - > A little background: Recently upgraded to 2006 Premium from 2005. It should work, I think.> 2005 I had no problems with 2 different users with Win XP. Everything, > including imports worked fine with each seperate user. | A little background: Recently upgraded to 2006 Premium from 2005. With Money 2005 I had no problems with 2 different users with Win XP. Everything, including imports worked fine with each seperate user. Since I have upgraded to 2006, my account (admin) works fine. But my spouses account (under her own win xp account, also with admin privileges) does not recognize any of the money file types (mny, mbf, ofx) and downloads have to be saved to computer and imported, where in the past she was able to direct import. Tried adding file types as registered file types in windows with no luck and can't seem to find anything on this issue with microsft. Anyone have any ideas or help? |
