You could try putting a password on a test file to see if the problem follows the passwording, or if it is the file. If the problem is not just with that one file, I would consider reinstalling Money. Things to consider will be to use salv.exe to see if it can fix your *.mny if that is the problem, and to restore you recent backup. To do that, open Money by double-clicking that recent *.mbf file. |

The only difference I can think of is the installation of Security Update for Windows XP (KB901190) I don't have any issue in opening another money file without any password. any help in resolving this issue will be appreciated. thanks, Johnson |
