By your being able to specify a date range, I infer that you did that from> specify a date range ... the web? Or was that on the initial connect after setting up online services within Money. If the former, the two sources of information (web vs. direct connection to Money) are probably separate. If the latter, I wonder if they data are the same format and, if so, what Money's processing of the transactions is different. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| Not much help here .. just empathy ![]() I use Money 2004 SB I have similar probs with Fid. When I discussed probs with their tech reps, they adv they didn't think prob was there and suggested I try a dload using a newly created "test" MS Money file. I did and dloads worked in the new file. In that "session" I was able to specify a date range ... perhaps the "daily" updates provide incorrect date info to the dload interface? Dloads continue to fail on occasion in my "live" Money file. The failures are sporadic across accounts and transaction types. I've learned to live with it. | I have a feeling that this problem has something to do with with synchronizing the money file with the MSN Central. This is just a hunch because I recall on one occassion after I removed and restored the access from any computer feature everything seemed to work fine for a while. And then it stopped downloading transactions for Fidelity accounts only. Both my wife and I have an IRA with Fidelity and both those accounts were behaving the same way. Any guesses as to this theory and what might cause this??? "slc_ideas" wrote: - quote - > Whenever I download my online statements from Fidelity, only "positions" for > each investment is reported. | Since noone else noted it, my downloads work fine ( M2001 and M2004 Deluxe) FROM a fetch within MONEY. So if I open my brokerage account - select Go to Online services and then have the Fidelity box checked - I get the transactions I have 3 Fidelity accounts and a few checking accounts at other banks - and a few charge cards - they all work fine. | Chris, At least I am not the only one. It's not a big deal and I could do the same workaround as you. The problem that I have is that I switched to Money because certain institutions didn't support Quicken and it just seems like there are so many comprises that one has to make when using MSMoney. My old Quicken2003 worked like a charm with downloads and I never had these issues. I thought OFX was a standardized protocol and that there would be no issues as long as the software and institution both adhere to it. I'll check with Fidelity to see if they have heard of similar issues. Thanks for your input. slc_ideas "Chris Cowles" wrote: - quote - > "slc_ideas" <slcideas[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:25997237-00D5-47F3-8BE0-FABCBCF311A7[at]microsoft.com... > > It's Money 2006 Deluxe. It should be the reverse. My trades are infrequent enough that I simply convert the 'Add Shares' to Buy or Reinvest, as appropriate. Not ideal, but also not worth getting aggravated about. If I was an active trader, I'd be irked. I don't think it's an MS problem, but is a Fidelity problem. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| It's Money 2006 Deluxe. It has worked on and off in the past but never 100% of the time. Is there any way to check or change registry for the Fidelity account to see if both Positions and Transactions are indeed enabled. It seems like something resets Money to Positions download only for Fidelity. It's weird with no logical explanation. "- Bobb -" wrote: - quote - > Which version of Money ? | Whenever I download my online statements from Fidelity, only "positions" for each investment is reported. Even when there are new transactions, they are not reported in the download. To sync my brokerage online statement to Money, I have to disable online services and re-establish it and download the missing transactions for a given period. The box to download both Positions and Transactions is checked, so I don't understand why Money keeps reporting only Positions. Everyone once in a while it seems to work correctly for a while and then Money goes back into reporting only positions. This only happens with Fidelity Investment accounts. This is really frustrating because I never experienced this issue with Quicken. |
