I just found it - Tools, Options, On-Line Services - uncheck box "Overwrite
transaction dates with dates from downloaded transactions."

I believe you can change this behavior in M2004; I know you can do this in
current versions.

Default accepted transaction dates

Using Money 2004 Deluxe, V. 12.0 (update 1)

by example: I write a check on 3/25, it clears my bank on 4/1. I download
the transaction from my bank (specifying "Active Statement from MS Money
2000) and accept it. The date of the transaction is changed to 4/1.

The change in date upon acceptance is a new problem. I end up making a note
of the date of every check, so I can go into my check register and change it
back to the correct date. Wreaks havoc at end of tax year if I miss one.

Anything I can do to retain the original date of my check?
