| All the people who use Money and have no idea how to record data or what exactly it means to manage personal finances will get absolutely nothing from their purchase of the product. Simply uploading or downloading from banks or credit card companies into Money does nothing but waste your time. Either learn how to benefit from using the product and YOUR BRAIN or dump the product. | If I had to update my mny accounts manually I would never pay for the application. Otoh, placing my data on a MS server is lame and I would never pay for an application that required me to do that either. Since all my financial activity is online I want a method of consolidation and an increase in my productivity. As long as Mny does that I will use it. It need not do anything else it attempts to do except the account summarys for the total picture is nice to have. arthur == On Sat, 1 Apr 2006 12:49:43 -0700, "Dick Watson" <littlegreengecko[at]mind-enufalready-spring.com> wrote: - quote - > Try Money with manual data entry. | Try Money with manual data entry. That's worked pretty well, if "slower" and requiring "more effort", here for more than a decade. | First, 3 of my accounts update only once a week, sometimes once every 2 weeks. It used to be daily/on-demand. Very inconvenient. Second, it wouldn't let me undo a change (I changed a transaction type from withdrawl to transfer). So I restored from backup, thinking I could start over. My gut feeling told me this was too easy, and I was right: It wiped out the online update settings for the 3 aforementioned accounts. I tried setting them back up, but of course that didn't work for whatever reason. I am so tired of this. Are there any Money alternatives that would suit me better? |
