| I still have not found a solution to this issue, and I'm wondering if upgrading to the latest version of Money would fix it. I just don't know what the issue is. I even added a new account to the same file, but had the same problem. Could it be that the currencies are messed up just in my file alone, but not in the Money program? You tried using both SPB Finance & Cash Organizer in the past fewmonths to connect your WM5 Pocket PC to Money? - quote - > "Tyeguy" wrote: > > I tried both repair options, and still came up empty. Review your backup situation. If you had a suitable backup, youcould possibly restore to a point where the problem did not exist. QIF files can be edited. So you could, for example, edit QIF files to remove transactions older than six months. Then File-> Import those edited QIF files to the file you restored from your six month old backup. Regarding the QIF export and import, consider trying it all. The process would be tedious, but perhaps not as bad as you envision. There are some tips if you plan to go the QIF route. - quote - > Cal Learner-- MVP wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, Tyeguy wrote: > > > > I actually tested this, and found that I could do imports flawlessly > > > with a new Money file. | I actually tested this, and found that I could do imports flawlessly with a new Money file. So I know the issue is with my Money file, not with the Money program itself. How can this be corrected? Can it be corrected? I would hate to have to start over my Money info from scratch. And everything's linked, it's years of data and opened and closed accounts. Exporting and importing all my account data would be an absolute mess. What does it say the Account Currency of that account is? |

| I've done that several times. It always says "US dollar". Is there something else I need to do to reset the currency to US dollar? I don't do anything with other currencies. Thanks for your help! | Possible that one of the two programs you've tried has changed the currency of the account you're downloading into. Try going to the account details and resetting the currency -- Glyn Simpson, Microsoft MVP - Money http://money.mvps.org Check http://money.mvps.org/faq/default.aspx for tips and fixes for MS Money. | Lately, whenever I try to download bank statements, I get this message: "Your statement contained a default currency (USD) which was unrelated to the currency of the account 'xxxxxxxx'. Money does not support statements containing unrelated default currencies." I did not change anything with my file, and I've never done anything with my currencies. They have always been US dollar. This is for Money 2004. The only thing that might have affected this is that I tried using both SPB Finance & Cash Organizer in the past few months to connect my WM5 Pocket PC to Money. Any ideas? |
