Can Money automaticly add catorgies to transactions

I'm finding that it seems to depend on the bank you are downloading from. I
have 2 credit card accounts that I download to Money. Sometimes I pay for
item A with one, sometimes with the other.

From one bank it remembers just as you describe, from the other it never
learns.

Yes. Check to see if Tools> Options> Account Settings (global)> Use
Autocomplete is turned on.
