| I have a similar prob. I have added savings account to my savings plan and set up contributions to that savings account. Those are listed in bills summary as reccuring bills. But monthly report still reports I have no scheduled transfers to savings plan. Whats wrong? Second question is: I have an Investment account marked as Watch. In Portfolio Manager I want to see this account, so I need to have checked the "show watch acc." box. But I do not want to see this account in my report ( I do not own those investments, just watch them, so why reporting them?)? When I uncheck the watch account out of the report, it also disappear from the PM. |

| Are these additions to Savings categorized as Transfer:Savings Account in the account you are transferring the money from? If so, did you exclude the Savings account from the reports for Income and Expenses when you checked the include transfers to or from accounts not in the report box? Are you using Adavnced Register for all your accounts? Have you deleted the bogus M05/6 expense category Credit Card Payments/Transfer? Generally, savings are not Income or Expense. It's like transferring (get it?) money from your left pocket ot your right pocket. When the Monthly report says "you saved $x last month", I think you will find it really means your income was more than your expenses by $x. There are probably circumstances where you could Transfer to Savings and this would still not be true. "thund11" wrote: - quote - > Ok, need help!!! | Ok, need help!!! When I run a report for Income and Expenses in Money 2005 Deluxe my transfers to savings do not show up. I selected the "Include transfers to or from asset or liability accounts" & "Include transfers to or from accounts that aren't in the report" as well and still, my transfers from my checking to savings do not show up. Nor do my additions to my savings accounts show up in the monthly reports. I always get the message "there were no additions added to your savings this month" (paraphrasing). I am extremely frustrated. I can not figure out how to get the savings transfers to show up. My transfer to expense accounts such as car payment/credit card show up, but not the ones to my savings. Any clue why? |
