If the stock does not pay dividends, you could set up an employee
stock option with a $0 option price.

I don't think that MS Money can automate this process very much, because
it depends too much on the market value of the RSUs on the day that they
appear in your account.

When the RSUs go into your account, their value that day is fully taxable.
Your employer probably witheld money to state and federal taxes, in
fact.

So what I do is to just wait until some RSUs appear in my account. On
that day, I

1. Record a stock "buy" in Microsoft Money. I record that day's market
value of the shares as the share price. You will probably receive paper
work from your employer that explicitly discloses this cost.

2. Record a cash addition to the relevant brokerage account. The amount
is the full cost of the RSUs, exactly as in step 1. The category is
"Salary."

This method has the property that when you finally sell the RSUs, their
cost basis will be accurate. In the mean time, you record a "Salary"
transaction that helps make your tax picture for the current year more
realistic.

Please note that I am not a tax expert. If I have screwed up any details,
I hope that someone will jump in.
