I've been through this - easiest thing is to NOT set up a new account, but
to just change the account number on the existing account. Then go to
update online services, and just select the new account number to download
into the existing account.

I have not been thru that myself. If you want to remove the Passport
from a file you may have to turn off background banking at
Tools-> Settings-> AccessYourMoneyDataOnTheWeb and then
File-> PasswordManager you can choose to remove your Passport. To
remove a conventional password, see File-> PasswordManager.


To disable online access for a given account, go to AccountList,
click your institution, then select StopUsingOnlineServices.

Do not overwrite your recent backups.

Disable online access for the old account. If that is not
sufficient, then consider restoring a backup to before you set up
the new account for online access. Disable online access for the old
account. Then set up online access again.

i recently lost my citibank card and got a new one with a different
number...a set the new account up so it would get my transactions...i
would like to merge the new and old account, but when i select that
option i'm told that there are no accounts to merge. any ideas?
