Bank of America is now charging 9.95/mo for MS Money access if you do not
have one of their high minimum balance accounts.

When the charge showed up on my statement and I protested they refunded it
and cancelled my on-line access.

I can re-enable the service and receive 3 months free but then the 9.95 fee
is assessed.

Can that charge be defrayed with a minimum balance? If so, is that minimum
balance reasonable?

Both of my banks, Wells Fargo and US Bank, charge for setting up direct
access by MS Money.

However, Money has the capability of accessing the activity via a 3rd party,
Yodlee or CashEdge, for which there is no charge. You need to use your MSN
Passport, and in Tools> Settings set up Money to "access your money data on
the web".

There are significant bugs in this, however, and I have spent oodles of time
with MS tech support trying to get this figured out. If you can't set up the
link through Money, you can try going to MSN Money Central, from the MSN web
site and setting up your accounts there first. Then click "Update" in Money,
and these accounts will appear in your file. You can then "Merge" this with
your existing account to preserve all your history, or export your existing
account and import it into the new, linked account (watch out for duplicate
transaction).

If so, I can tell you that NetBank and Etrade bank don't. It is wise
to move your money out of your State to make it harder for legal
eagles to steal it.

Default Bank Charge for Download

This topic may be already discussed but I'm wondering if any banks are
charging for MS Money downloads. Any info appreciated.
