To get to your customized reports, Reports-> FavoriteReports.

Oops. I had somehow missed the fact that you were asking how to get
this customized report onto to the "home" page. You can't.

The trial is full feature.

You could set
Tools-> Settings-> ProgramSettings-> (DisplayStartMoneyWithThisPageOpen:Reports
and be able to click to that customized favorite report with one
click initially.

Ok, I had done that thinking that must be correct. The thing is, I do not
see the option to display my favorite report on the Home page underneath
Spending by Category. I go to the Customize link on the Home page, but my
favorite report is not there as a choice to be shown.

I am beginning to wonder if this option in not available in the Money 2006
Trial version. I thought that it was a full feature trialware, but maybe
that is not the case. I realize now that I did not mention this was
trialware in the earlier part of my thread. For this I apologize.

Thanks,

Click Customize on the left and go to the Accounts tab. Un-check
the un-wanted accounts. Check out other tabs to see if you would
like to make any other customizations, and click OK.

To make this easily accessible in the future, right-click into the
reports and choose AddToFavorites. Enter a descriptive name, OK.

Near the top, click Customize. Select your new Favorite report
from the Available column and click Add, OK. There will now be a
new button that lets you go to that report readily.

If you don't see the reports and options you want, you can increase
the choices by switching from Essential to Advanced reports
(depending on version).

Now that I think about it. I would like Money to completely ignore the
online created checking account for the purposes of calculations, charting,
budgeting, etc... The only thing I want the online created checking
account to do is to download transaction information from my bank (it does
this beautifully).

Thanks for any ideas,

Duke

Default Spending by Category - how to ignore an account

Hello all,

I am using Money 2006. On the Home Page there is a chart that displays
Spending by Category. This is great and I like it, however I would like it
to ignore one of my accounts for it's display purposes. I have two checking
accounts setup in Money. One is the checking account discovered online via
money to which I have transactions auto download. The other is the checking
account I use to enter my transactions manually. I would like the Spending
by Category chart to calculate/display only transactions in my manually
created checking account.

Any idea how, or if, this can be done ?

Thanks,

Duke
