Having a Passport and telling Money about it are two different things.

M06 always updates stock prices when updating a broker account but not
the WatchList stocks. This is after ensuring the automatic update
every 30 minutes is unchecked. So I can live with the problem of bad
weekend stock prices by not updating the broker account on weekends.

The WatchList stocks are not updated unless the Update Quotes News
Exchange Rates is selected. So, not selecting this for weekend update
will prevent bad WatchList prices.

Thanks all who helped me with this.

Not intentionally. I do have a MSN IM ( via Trillian ) and hotmail so
maybe I do?

Update Automatically ( every 30 minutes )
It is not checked so I assume it is off.

I clicked it and a Check appears
I click it again and it is unChecked again.

I have 3 Mny files
It was checked in one file but I do not think it was checked in the
other two but I am not positive so let me see how it goes now. I will
post again the results. Thanks

In Money 2006 Portfolio, do you see you see "Update Prices" in the
left column?

If you left-click that, what is the last item in the fly-out list?

If you have a passport on your file, that will happen.

Interesting. IOW select auto update and set time to zero. I will try
that tomorrow.

What happens is that prices are updated without my even asking for it.
And I can find nothing with such a setting checked.

I use the Choose Information to Update and uncheck the Update Stock
and Fund Quotes to no avail. If only that simple.

I do not use Passport ... do everything from Mny

I looked around the Portfolio Manager and see nothing that looks like
"update automatically every __ minutes"

On the home screen click on the following: tools\internet updates\customise
updates.

I set the update time to 0 minutes. Who knows? it might work.

Default Always Updating Stock prices M06

How does one stop M06 from always updating stock prices? It is
extremely annoying to have bum prices updated on weekends and interday
prices during the week. I have broker account, credit card, bank
accounts as well as a watch list.
