| I just transfer the amount to the cash part of the investment account, which gets it out of my cash flow. Then, once a month, sometime after the purchase date, I put the 'buy investment' transaction in manually. -- Glyn Simpson, Microsoft MVP - Money http://money.mvps.org Check http://money.mvps.org/faq for tips and fixes for MS Money. | I automatically purchase $1000 of XYZ stock monthly at the available price on the day of purchase. In setting up a recurring investment purchase in Money2006 it is required to enter the quantity purchased AND the amount paid. If I knew the future price of the stock I could enter the quantity if I wasn't in jail for having insider information. My question to fellow users, what workarounds are people using to overcome this poor Money2006 design problem? Pre Money2006, the quantity field was not a required field for the creation of a new recurring investment purchase. -- Kent Riesen Eureka, CA |
