Default Re: Sending "e-pay" checks

I haven't tried this myself since the Bill Pay change in Nov, but it may
work to add a new payment account, since you already have an active
"grandfathered" MSN Bill Pay subscription:

Go to the Billpay site: https://billpay.msn.com/default.asp
Sign in
On the Accounts tab, add the new checking account.
Finish and close out of Billpay.
Give it a few minutes (or an hour or so)
Make a copy of your Money data file.
Start Money 2005 and do an update to sync with MSN Money
See if a new "Bill Pay" account for that new checking account downloads.
If so, merge it with the actual checking account.

The change with MSN Bill Pay is for new "subscriptions"
(http://moneycentral.msn.com/common/networkstatus.asp) not payment accounts,
so this may work.

MSN Billpay went through some recent changes. New accounts are not eligible
for generating ePays within Money. The only option is to initiate them from
the web, then download.

Existing accounts were grandfathered in. New accounts are supposed to be
enabled with the next version of Money.

I do not use MSN Billpay and cannot provide more details.

Default Sending "e-pay" checks

I have 2 checking registers in Money 2005. One is my personal account, which
I've had set up for a year or so. Somehow, I set it up just like I want it:
when I'm finished entering a check, i use the pulldown menu in the
upper-right corner box next to "number" and select the choice "e-pay". In
this fashion, the check is transmitted to MSN Bill pay and gets entered in my
register at the same time.

However, I recently set up a second checking account (for my condo assn.),
and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to set it up do it the same
way: the "e-pay" optoin is not in the pull down menu. It is set up on MSN
Bill pay. But I cant get it to work as described above. Anyone have any
ideas? Many thanks. -- David
