I understood that is what you wanted. I did not explicitly say that
Money does not have a built-in way to change the sense on a bunch of
transactions, but it doesn't. You could export what Money has,
modify the QIF file with a macro editor, delete the account, and
import the modified QIF. But there is no macro capability in Money
to reverse the sign on a bunch of transactions.

My point of asking if you had made QIF files, is that that is the
only way I know of that you could have imported that data from
Excel. So modifying the spreadsheet to change the sign of the data,
then re-importing to a pre-import version of the Money file seemed
like the likely easiest way.

Thank you for the input. I was doing my banking by simply listing
transactions in an excel spreadsheet. I changed the column headings to match
the register headings and imported them as such. they matched up well to the
proper columns, but my debits were Money's credits and vice versa. now I
don't know how to change the listings except individually. I'm hoping there
is a way to select many transactions at one time and simply change the debit
to credit and vice versa, based on the transactions I select (by holding down
the shift or ctrl key as a select, but that hasn't worked). I'm hoping I
don't have to do this one by one. oh well....

That doesn't sound like success. Did you create QIF files?

File-> Restore will let you go back to points where backups were
made. Since Money 2006 keeps backups, you may have suitable backups.
I suggest you increase the number of backups that are maintained so
you can go back farther as you experiment.

Default Fixing bad imports

I recently began using money 2006. i was successful in downloading
(importing) transactions from an excel spreadsheet, but the transactions all
came in as credits, not debits. How do I select mulitple transactions to
a: change them to debits instead of credits (prefer this if possible).
b: delete so I can re import them as debits or
c: let me know that I'm dead in the water. start everything over. (I hope not)

thanks in advance for any help on this
