Ok, no one is answering, so I restored my backup file, redid the entries
(sigh) and -- when I was transferring an investment from one account to
another -- bam, Money shut down again. (Luckily I had been backing up as I
went this time. So I restored my new backup, tried the transfer again, and
Money shut down again.)

Seems like I found a bug!

I worked around it by "selling" the investment in one account and "buying"
it in the other.

This is a new one on me. But I see from a Google search that this problem
also strikes 05. The solution in 05 is apparently to go to
Tools/Settings/Program settings and choose a page other than Investment
Performance to open with.

I am able to open the sample.mny file and I guessed at what the appropriate
change was for 04 -- in other words, I chose to open Money on something
other than the Inv Performance page.

But my main file still crashes on opening (no error message, nothing, it
just opens and crashes before I can really see anything).

Any suggestions?
