| Another way to restore the MSN Stock List in the Portfolio Manager is as follows: 1. Confirm that the list does exist elsewhere, for example on http://my.msn.com in the "Stock Quotes" module. 2. Go to the Portfolio Manager 3. Go to Change Portfolio Settings and look at the MSN Stock List Settings 4. Confirm that the first box that would "replace" info is unchecked and the second box that would "add" changes is checked. OK this. 5. Add a new account. You can name it anything. e.g. "My MSN Stock Watch List". Choose the option to add investments later. Alternatively, if you want to add the MSN Stock List investments to an existing account skip to step 7. 6. If you are in a customized "View" that doesn't show this newly added account, customize the view to add that account. 7. Click the account name of the account that you want to become the "MSN Watch List" to go into Account Details for that account. 8. Check the option to "Make this account my MSN Stock List" and then click Done. 9. Refresh the Portfolio so that the symbols get added to that account. -Mark "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message news:f9ee025ftgascc7p176n8bjcr4m15enkja[at]4ax.com... - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Elan Remford wrote: > > I inadvertently deleted the MSN Stock Watch list from my Portfolio Manager. > > Now, despite the list still being in existence under my Passport, I cannot > > seem to restore it intact into Portfolio Manager via either Money 2006 Deluxe > > or MSN Money. > > > I'd greatly appreciate any insight from those who may know how to restore > > this list as an active Portfolio Manager account, which would be much more > > preferable to creating a new watch list, which would not only not auto-sync > > with the entries made from the MSN pages, but would also require re-entry of > > the huge list I have now. No butterfly in Money 2006.> Now, despite the list still being in existence under my Passport, I cannot > seem to restore it intact into Portfolio Manager via either Money 2006 Deluxe > or MSN Money. > I'd greatly appreciate any insight from those who may know how to restore > this list as an active Portfolio Manager account, which would be much more > preferable to creating a new watch list, which would not only not auto-sync > with the entries made from the MSN pages, but would also require re-entry of > the huge list I have now. I really want my lil' ol' butterfly back. ![]() You might want to make an extra copy/backup of your Money file and your MSN Money in case you want to undo something. I think you would want to have the same passport on your Money file that you do for MSN Money. Then enable background banking at Tools-> Settings-> AccessYourMoneyDataOnTheWeb Does that accomplish it? |

| I inadvertently deleted the MSN Stock Watch list from my Portfolio Manager. Now, despite the list still being in existence under my Passport, I cannot seem to restore it intact into Portfolio Manager via either Money 2006 Deluxe or MSN Money. I'd greatly appreciate any insight from those who may know how to restore this list as an active Portfolio Manager account, which would be much more preferable to creating a new watch list, which would not only not auto-sync with the entries made from the MSN pages, but would also require re-entry of the huge list I have now. I really want my lil' ol' butterfly back. ![]() Many thanks in advance for any learned advice. |
