Thanks Cal,

I did contact TD Waterhouse and they told me that I did need to change the
password. They basically didn't like my "simple" password and wanted it
changed.

When I did this, Money saved my new passwords.

I think that when you switch versions to a new version of Money, TDW
wants you to change the direct access password(s). If you really
wanted to keep the same password(s), you could change twice: a
different one, and back to the original.

Hello Cal,

thanks for the help. I have been using these same passwords for a long time
and they have been working.

The problem that I am having is getting the program to save this passwords.
I have tried at least three ways: 1) using "Change Account settings" in the
account information, "change bank or brokeage passwords", I entered the
appropriate password for each of the 5 accounts, clicked "Save changes", got
an error box telling me to change a password with the bank or brokage first.
2) Tried to use "customize updates" and add passwords. that seemed to have
worked and then when I go back, it implies that no updates have been setup.
3) Tried "Update Now" and added passwords. Pushed "Update". Says that I have
to change them in the account information...

any ideas?

In re-reading, I think you are saying that you don't actually get
into your TD Waterhouse accounts in Money. So the problem is not
that the passwords don't get remembered. It is that they don't work.
Is this a correct understanding?

TD Waterhouse does not use the same account number and passwords for
Money Direct Access that you use for web access. You may have
forgotten the information. If so, call TD Waterhouse customer
service.

You don't have a separate password for each of those accounts, do
you?

I don't know why this would be happening.

If you have a Passport on that file, you might try removing it.

When you enter the password(s) there should be a box to have Money
remember the password.

Default Investment passwords

We have 5 different TD Waterhouse accounts that we have been updating
automatically for several years now. I have now using Money 2006 Standard
and have been having problems maintaining the passwords. I rewrite them in
over and over again in a couple of different ways and I cannot make the
program save them. Because the program won't save them, the updates are not
happening. Does anyone have an idea for me to try?
