| I've done that too...I think the problem is with my gross wages. I'm going to delete my paychecks and re-enter them. We'll see if that fixes the problem. | I never let Money do anything automatically because of wacky results like you are seeing. I suggest setting up your budget manually, it will work a lot better. Use Bills and Deposits first to list all of your repeating items then fill in the rest from the regular Budget screens. | Thanks for the suggestion. I did that and it showed my budgeted income was almost twice as what it should be. However, when I go back to the income section of the budget, I see a monthly total that when multiplied by 12 is a more accurate number. I have no idea where the system is getting that figure. I also just deleted that budget and started from scratch. In this case, I had the auto budget automatically fill in the categories based on my previous spending. I did this for both income and expense (selecting all categories). The expenses showed I was spending more than I was bringing in. However, when I went to the "savings goal" screen, it said I had $1800 to spend. Where the hell is that coming from? If my expenses are more than my income, how did I get an extra $1800 to spend? | I have no idea what is wrong. When my budget gives me weird numbers, I look at the Annual Budget report which shows every income and every expense item in monthly columns and then I always find my mistake. -- Regards, Bill Wood Fountain Hills, AZ "jlandtl" <jlandtl[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:987D2144-347B-4ABD-BE91-8573DD37585A[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > So, I set up my budget with my income categories and my expenses > categories > that I wanted and I get approximately $700 left over. | So, I set up my budget with my income categories and my expenses categories that I wanted and I get approximately $700 left over. When I click "next" and get to the "savings goals" screen, it says I have $2800 to spend or save. I wish. What is going on? I've reviewed all my income and zero'd out those categories I do not wish to have, but to no avail...I've also deleted those categories from my budget, but still no go... Jason |
