There are actually two registers, and they're linked. Go to the account and> account. When I look at the net worth report, there are two accounts: 457 > deferred compensation and 457 deferred compensation (contributions). Why > are > there two? When I look at the account list, there is only one. you'll see to links on the left. One for investments, the other for cash. Go to the details page of the account and scroll down. You'll see where you can revise the name and bank. Scroll down and you'll see where you can revise the name and opening balance of the cash portion. Deposits from your paycheck go to the contributions account. Deposits and investments often are not linked exactly in time. Investments use the cash portion as a source. Non-retirement accounts have an option of deposits going directly into the investment portion. Retirement accounts don't have that option. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| I utilize the paycheck feature in M05 and have a portion going to a 457 account. When I look at the net worth report, there are two accounts: 457 deferred compensation and 457 deferred compensation (contributions). Why are there two? When I look at the account list, there is only one. What gives? |
