There are actually two registers, and they're linked. Go to the account and
you'll see to links on the left. One for investments, the other for cash. Go
to the details page of the account and scroll down. You'll see where you can
revise the name and bank. Scroll down and you'll see where you can revise
the name and opening balance of the cash portion.

Deposits from your paycheck go to the contributions account. Deposits and
investments often are not linked exactly in time. Investments use the cash
portion as a source.

Non-retirement accounts have an option of deposits going directly into the
investment portion. Retirement accounts don't have that option.

Default Contributions from Paycheck...

I utilize the paycheck feature in M05 and have a portion going to a 457
account. When I look at the net worth report, there are two accounts: 457
deferred compensation and 457 deferred compensation (contributions). Why are
there two? When I look at the account list, there is only one.

What gives?
