If you had the right version of Windows CE based Pocket PC you might
try

Money can certainly be used just this way. But that's probably not the
answer you were looking for. Hopefully someone has a better answer.

I don't need all the bells and whistles of MM2004. I just need a basic
check register that will do a bank reconciliation and such. (basic
tasks)

What would you consider the difference between Money 2004 and a "simple
checkbook program"? What do you want a "simple checkbook program" to do?
