| I'm thinking what you need is some kind of an annual category spending limit, with annual defined as starting April 1, that notifies you as the limit value approaches or is reached. Say a $100 limit on Healthcare:Co-pay applied between the previous April1 and the next March 31. I don't think Money can do this. I don't think FYI has annual limits, or category specific limits (less sure about this--haven't been in there in a while), or any ability to work anything on a user's specified cycle. We track some of this kind of kaka in Excel in addition to Money. One thing you could do in Excel is retrieve current year transactions using MoneyLink and then use dlookup techniques to sum Healthcare:Co-pay amounts dated after April 15th. I know it's ugly, but Money is continually being optimized as an advertising delivery vehicle at the expense of its suitability and flexibility as a personal finance management tool, and there you have it.
