And while there, also copy of the *.mbf files (money backup files)

Usually you would try to copy them all, but use the one with the
newest date.

A USB flash is usually a good choice for transferring the files. It
can have a bonus by removing the Windows file ownership information.

They are stored wherever the user Money to store them. Kinda like in Word or
Excel or Notepad. Look for extension .MNY.

Thanks. Where are the data files kept? What are the names (or extensions)?

First get the data files. Money cannot help with this. You will have to get
them owned by the newdomain\user. This is an operating system problem and
would be the same for any type of data file. Then reinstall Money. Life is
too short to troubleshoot all of these kinds of problems.

Default Money 2001 question...

Here's my problem. I have a laptop that was a member of one domain
and had been using Money under an account in that domain. Well, the
domain is no longer accessible and I joined the laptop to a new domain.
Now Money will not start. No error message, nothing in event viewer,
it just plain doesn't start. I did migrate the users profile from one domain
to the other.

Any thoughts? I need to access all the files that the old user had access to
under the new user/domain combination.

What can I do to ressurect my files?
